HOW TO PREPARE FOR A BOUDOIR PHOTOSHOOT
6 Tips from a Boudoir Photographer

6 TIPS FROM A BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER
-
ONE: HYDRATE & NOURISH YOUR BODY
Drink your water!
Drinking lots of water helps flush unwanted toxins from you body, decrease bloating and gives your skin a nice hydrated look.
Nourish your body. Make sure to eat before your session. No one likes to be hangry. Try to avoid foods that make you feel bloated (Ex. Raw vegetables)
-
TWO: EXFOLIATE & MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN
As soon as you book your shoot your skin care regime begins.
Exfoliate your entire body once or twice a week including your face and feet.
Moisturize daily and keep up with a morning and night skin care routine.
Set an intention to prioritize self care.
-
THREE: AVOID ALCOHOL
Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours before your session if possible.
Alcohol can make you feel bloated, tired, and dehydrated.
We want you to feel your best.
-
FOUR: BEAUTY SLEEP
We all know that we need our beauty sleep.
Especially the night before your session.
Prioritize your sleep and try and get 8 hours of sleep if possible.
-
FIVE: STRETCH
Let’s be real, posing is not easy. IT’S HARD work. Sometimes you’re holding awkward positions and using muscles you don’t typically use.
We recommend stretching the morning of your session and the night before, if possible. This can help prevent muscle strains or cramps.
-
SIX: BODY POSITIVITY & SELF-LOVE
BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN
It starts with practicing self-love and body positivity.
YOU ARE ENOUGH
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
YOU ARE WORTHY
YOU ARE CAPABLEGone are the days we tell ourselves we need to loose 5 or more pounds to book the shoot. You are beautiful just as you are.
It’s time to start embracing your beautiful self.
